300 Year Old Yixing Teapot
Collection of Rose Courson

Rose
tells us a little of the history of this exquisite teapot:
The teapot traveled to the U.S. through Mexico. A lady
received it as a gift from her husband ... in Corpus Christi,
Texas. During World War II, a General and service men were served
tea from this pot when they came ashore for R&R. The lady
that owned the teapot at that time was a friend of an uncle
several years later and sold the teapot to him. He then gave it
to my Mother, because she is a teapot collector. The lady was 17
years old when she received the teapot, so she had the teapot for
over 60 years herself.

Thanks to Rose for sharing it with us!
