From a Yixing Teapot...
The following is quoted, as best I can, from a slip of paper I found inside a Yixing tea pot. It was put there by the creator of the pot; I think it is beautiful:
"I made this following the principle or underlying rule of Yixing Masters who repeated the great work of former masters trying to go in the direction of what is perfect. It started as a hill of clay."
